White Signs is an improvvisation performance on the poetry of daily life.
Characteristically SILENCE teatro, this performance which is one part of an opus with travel and the many ways of being travellers as it theme – both in life and on the stage – interacts with and measures itself against open spaces.
The show was born as a result of the collaboration between SILENCE teatro and the artistic group Way Art Studio, which is responsible for the realization of many life sized statues done in plaster cast, portraying situation from our daily lives. The objective of “FiguraAzione” is to combine the sculptural realization with a theatrical event.
Dressed in elegant costumes with a Seventeenth Century cut, the faces and hairs covered with white clay, a dozen of actors cross the city in lightness and create an atmosphere of deepened silence, of astonished enchantment.
Brought by a mysterious breeze, they appear unexpectedly in the way, provided of candid wings. They are the actors of the SILENCE teatro, crossing the public square under shape of angels, raising vortices of emotions and flakes of memories.
John Milton’s “Paradise Lost” inspired this show: an ancient but also current story, a tale about man’s desires and passions. Reflection about human nature, between good and evil.
An itinerant show from medieval documents.
